Rob Pincus will lead a comprehensive four hour seminar covering the fundamental principles and tactics of responsible carry and use of a defensive handgun in the public space.
The class will focus on tactics, equipment and contexts from Armed Defense of yourself or someone you care about. Heavy emphasis will be placed on WHY and WHEN armed defense is appropriate before getting into the details of HOW or WHAT. Topics will include:
- Balancing Risk & Benefit
- Should versus Could
- Tactics for Armed Respond
- Situational Awareness
- Assessing the Environment
- Immediate Aftermath
- Defensive Firearms Choice
- Equipment & Carry Issues
- Interacting with Law Enforcement
Students will be encouraged to ask questions, share comments and express concerns so that the information can be tailored to their needs.
There will not be any Live Fire during this course.
