DESCRIPTION:This event is for the General Public\, Church Safety and Security Teams\, School Resource Officers\, Commissioned Security Officers and Commissioned School Security Officers\, who have a desire to hone their defensive skillset in order to be the best protector and first responder they can be in a Dynamic Critical Incident. If you are within the renewal window for your Concealed Handgun License\, this event qualifies you for renewal. \nThe Fundamentals of IDS is a one day course that will expose the student to all the core principles and fundamentals of the Intuitive Focus® Shooting Program. This course will cover the basics of Intuitive Defensive Shooting\, Defensive Accuracy\, The Balance of Speed & Precision\, an introduction to the understanding the Body’s Natural Reactions during a Dynamic Critical Incident\, understanding the integration of lateral motion and additional concepts as time allows. \nThis Course will provide the student with an understanding of true Counter Ambush training with a defensive firearm\, base level defensive shooting skills and a training methodology for continuing to develop those skills. \nThis course is one full day of intense training\, teaching and practice. The course will cover the following topics: \n\nFundamentals of Defensive Shooting & Intuitive Skill Development\nDefensive Accuracy\nLateral Motion\nThe Balance of Speed & Precision\nThe Critical Incident Reload\nVolume of Fire\nRealistic Training for Multiple Target Engagement\nUnderstanding the Body’s Natural Reactions during a Dynamic Critical Incident.\nThe Skill Development Cycle\nand other topics as time allows\n\n
